Today we’re in Sweden, yes. Do you know why? Back when we lived in the Netherlands, we lived near an Ikea, and since Ikea is from Sweden, we thought we’d check it out. Yes, to see if it was just like the one at home. That was actually why we wanted to see it, and Jip really wanted to go because he always loved the Swedish meatballs at Ikea.
But we didn’t end up going. No. Because we came across the Pippi Longstocking park and then I thought, ‘oh, Helen has talked about this! She used to read the Pippi Longstocking books and she said she really enjoyed them!’
So, we stopped there instead. Yes, we already knew Ikea, but not Pippi Longstocking, and all three of us were curious about it. Have you never heard of Pippi? Look, this is her:
Pippi Longstocking has her own park in Sweden, which includes Villa Villekulla, the house of Pippi Longstocking where you can do all the things Pippi did. I found a video of it, but it’s in Swedish, and I don’t know about your Swedish, but I don’t understand it, though I find it a funny language to listen to. But yes, I think you’d rather look at this. It helps you get to know Pippi a bit better.
So that’s where we’ve been, and we also spent some time in Stockholm, which is the capital of Sweden. Yes, and then we made a wrong turn and ended up in the metro station. Where the metros run underground. It’s beautiful here, really. This place is like a museum, it’s like art, and that’s why we sent you this photo and a video because you really won’t believe it! See for yourself:
Tomorrow, we go to Copenhagen. Do you know where that is?
See you there, for another adventure!
